French Institute for Research in Africa Fieldwork Grants

The French Institute for Research in Africa (IFRA) is offering fieldwork grants to masters and doctoral students to conduct their research in 2016 in one of the five East African countries covered by the Institute: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda. IFRA’s main research themes include: political dynamics, culture and society, economy and land issues. For this fieldwork grant session, research topics  on 1) the next Kenyan elections, 2) informal economy and 3) inequalities will be particularly appreciated.
