The Kosciuszko Foundation offers several funding opportunities for graduate students of Polish descent or who are researching topics related to Polish studies.
Graduate Research & Study in Poland Scholarship
The Graduate / Postgraduate Studies and Research Scholarship supports research by American graduate students and university faculty members at various universities in Poland. Scholarships are awarded under the auspices of the Foundation’s Exchange Program with the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The Polish Ministry provides a stipend of 1,350 zloty per month for housing and living expenses. In addition, the Kosciuszko Foundation awards $300 per month of approved study/research as a supplement to awards provided by the Ministry.
Research projects may be conducted from October through June at state-funded universities and institutions in Poland.
Graduate level students and university faculty members who are US citizens may apply. Polish citizens are not eligible.

Tuition Scholarship Program
Kosciuszko Foundation Tuition Scholarships support American students of Polish descent for graduate studies at colleges and universities in the United States. Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $7,000 are awarded on a competitive basis for one academic year.
Eligibility: United States citizens and permanent residents of Polish descent who are beginning or continuing their graduate studies and who have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Scholarships are awarded for full-time studies only.
Selection is based on academic excellence, the applicant’s academic achievements, interests and motivation, the applicant’s interest in Polish subjects or involvement in the Polish American community. Financial need is taken into consideration.
