Junior League of Yakima Memorial Scholarship

The Junior League of Yakima is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

The Junior League of Yakima is currently awarding two (2) scholarships of $3,000.00 each. These scholarships are awarded to women who have returned to school following a significant break in their education.

The following criteria must be met:

  • The applicant must be a woman with ties to the Yakima area who is at least 25 years of age and who has had a significant break in her education following high school graduation.
  • The applicant must be currently enrolled and pursuing an AA/BA/BS or similar degree, Voc Tech, or Graduate Degree.
  • The applicant plans to pursue her career in the Yakima Valley following graduation.
  • The applicant demonstrates financial need as interpreted by the Scholarship Committee.

The recipient agrees to present a summary to the Junior League of Yakima in the fall.
