The School of Drama has an opening for a Mixed Media/Marketing GSA, 2012-13.
Duties and qualifications are:
–Assist in strategy development, lead content creation and manage all aspects of the School’s social media marketing campaign (primarily Facebook and Twitter). Focus on growing follower base and building engagement with the broader theatre/arts community.
–Develop and write stories for monthly electronic newsletter, Cue to Cue. Provide support as needed with uploading/editing content in the ESP (currently Constant Contact).
–Compile and maintain active records of alumni/faculty announcements for inclusion in our semi-annual GradBag publication, and for upload into our Alumni & Donor Relations Database ADVANCE.
–Provide special event coverage across the School’s digital media platforms (e-newsletter, social media, and webpage). This may include, but is not limited to: photography, videography, live tweeting, etc.
–Other duties as assigned by the Director of External Relations or the Marketing & Communications Specialist.
–In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and supporting applications (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Hootsuite, etc.). Skills in this area may have been obtained via personal use of these platforms, though demonstrated professional use is preferred.
–Writing experience in a professional or academic setting. Undergraduate degrees in Journalism, English, Communications or equivalent programs preferred.
–Working knowledge of Excel.
–Comfortable with using media hardware and related editing software.
–Some experience with the University’s Alumni & Donor Database ADVANCE. Previous on-boarding training a plus!
